Alan MacLean - Chairman
Alan MacLean lives at Easter Rarichie, Nigg. He is married with three grown up children, two of whom still live locally. Alan is the Managing Director of a farmer owned Agricultural co-operative - HBS Ring Ltd, based at Tore near Inverness.
His main interests apart from work and the family would definitely include sport, and rugby in particular. Currently President of Ross Sutherland Rugby Football Club in Invergordon, and very interested in coaching the current crop of players and the odd venture back onto the pitch in a playing capacity!
Maureen Ross - Secretary
Maureen Ross MBE has been the driving force behind the creation and subsequent viability of the Seaboard Memorial Hall. Her fund raising and organisation prior to construction and present innovation and business skills have been at the forefront in the success of the Hall.
She has worked within the voluntary sector for many years serving on several community groups including Community Council. To relax she enjoys singing, listening to music and spending time with the grandchildren.
James Gordon
James Gordon is a farmer and potato merchant in Portmahomack. James has been a community councillor in Portmahomack for many years and has also been its chairman. He has made a huge contribution to the community in the village where he has lived all his life. A keen golfer, he is currently in his second period as Club Captain of Tarbat Golf Club.
He was a member of the Fearn Peninsula Partnership throughout it's existence, representing his community council and consequently has a thorough knowledge of the needs of the area covered by the new trust.
John Scott
John Scott farms beef, sheep and cereals at Fearn. He has been chairman of Fearn Community Council for the past two years and is currently vice chairman of Fearn primary school parent council. John has and old head on young shoulders with a refreshing approach to community issues. His interests outside farming include rugby, having played for local club Ross-Sutherland for many years, being captain and president throughout that time he currently occupies the role of coach.
Simon Jackson
Simon Jackson lives at Broomton Farm, Balintore. He is married with two children who keep him busy as the family taxi driver. Simon is an Agronomist and the contract manager for Robertson Crop Services based in Kildary. He is chairman of Tain Pipe Band and is keen to see more people take up the pipes and drums. He is also a member of the Church of Scotland in Fearn Abbey and sits on the congregational board. His previous jobs include the Transmission Team Leader for Scottish Hydro Electric.
Billy Mackenzie
Billy Mackenzie is a retired builder. He dedicated many years serving the village of Inver as a member and Chairman of the Community Council. He worked tirelessly to improve the appearance of the shore front by personally building several new flower beds and securing funding for new picnic benches. Billy was instrumental in bringing Christmas lights to Inver. For several years he has been the Chairman of Inver Football Club, assisting with the organisation of match days and fundraising. Billy enjoys bowling, watching football and entertaining his grandchildren.
Peter MacKenzie
Peter MacKenzie is an associate in RWM & KM MacKenzie & Co, a local firm of Accountants. Born in Inverness, he has lived in Aberdeenshire, Edinburgh, Edmonton (Canada), near Lyon (France), Glasgow and Luxembourg, having worked as an English teacher for a time before working in Accounts and Audit both in Scotland and on the European mainland.
He was heavily involved in international students organisations in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and moved back to the Highlands from Luxembourg after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with the Scottish Institute last year. He is a passionate lover of adventure, the outdoors, the wild and the beautiful.
